Tips for Preventing Damaged Data
These simple precautions can prevent time-consuming
lost data.
Diagnose
This Computer
The Diagnose
This Computer command in Station Administrator is designed to analyze
your computer and identify several specific problems that can affect
Timeslips. If the diagnostic functions find a problem, Timeslips will
offer either a solution or instructions that provide the solution.
We recommend performing this procedure
on every computer when you:
- First install Timeslips
- Update Timeslips
- Update your computer’s operating system
- Experience data corruption
- Experience errors starting Timeslips that tells
you to use this feature
Prior to performing
the Diagnose This Computer procedure you must exit Timeslips as well
as any other program which may access the Borland Database Engine (BDE).
If you are unsure what programs may use BDE, close all other programs.
